Your personal coach
Without the RP3 there is no stroke-level data to analyse. Without Beat Your Best most of that data is never used. Together they make the RP3 the most complete coaching tool on the market.

ExplainsTurns that data into coaching
- Automatic report for every workout: steady state, intervals, ergo test
- Stroke quality: how repeatable and predictable your stroke is
- Fatigue analysis: what changes in your stroke when it gets hard

Your RP3 already has the answers. Beat Your Best asks the right questions of the data: not just how far and how fast, but how well, how consistently, and what to change.
Where the portal stops and Beat Your Best starts
The RP3 portal shows your data. Beat Your Best reads it for you.
The RP3 portal is an excellent logbook with every stroke on record. But turning thousands of strokes into a conclusion is left to you. That is the work Beat Your Best does.
| The question you ask | RP3 Portal | Beat Your Best |
|---|---|---|
| What did I row? | Distance, time, split, rate, power: every workout logged | The same key metrics, as the starting point of the analysis |
| What does my stroke look like? | The force curve, stroke by stroke | Your average stroke vs. your best 15% vs. a reference curve |
| What kind of workout was this? | You know, the portal just stores it | Recognised automatically: steady state, long or short intervals, ergo testTarget and reference values |
| Is my stroke consistent? | The numbers are there, per stroke; you compare them yourself | Consistency and predictability scored for every workout |
| What happens when I get tired? | Hidden in the data | Shows which part of your stroke breaks down first under fatigueAutomatic recognition in one of the 7 rowing profiles |
| Am I improving? | A history of separate workouts | Like-for-like comparison: the same workout type over weeks and months |
| What should I work on next? | Not what the portal is built for | One focus point, ergo targets and a race plan per distanceConnects your different workout types to each other, with pacing advice |
| How is my crew doing? | Workout data of the whole crew in one place | Who needs attention, crew force curves, coach tips, overviews, rankings, boat positions and race plan |
does it the data is there, the conclusion is up to you not its role

Proof from the water · World Rowing Masters Regatta, Bled 2026
Only 8.3% of masters win consistently
We analysed every official result from Bled 2026: 4,303 rowers and 6,245 timed boats. Two thirds of the field never won a heat. A small group won again and again.
Share of all 4,303 rowers. Men and women are distributed almost identically.
rowers won more than twice: on average 4.4 wins (men) and 4.1 (women)
decided the men's H 8+ — margins are measured in strokes, not metres
of their wins was also the fastest time of the entire field (21% men, 26% women)
of all rowers never won a heat at all
The gap to the top is not more metres. It's better strokes, held for longer.
At this level everybody trains hard. What separates the top group is how well they keep their stroke together when it hurts: consistency, and knowing exactly what breaks down under fatigue.
That is precisely what RP3 measures and Beat Your Best analyses.
Top masters rowers in categories D, E and F already train on RP3 with Beat Your Best, and they win. It works.
